How to Brush Your Teeth Without Sacrificing Your Beard - South Beach Beard

For all my fellow bearded men out there, you know the struggle of trying to brush your teeth without getting toothpaste in your beard. It’s at least a little bit annoying, right? Well, don’t let your frustration get you down! Here are some tips to help make brushing your teeth a less painful experience.

Change up Your Technique

Try brushing your teeth differently than normal. If you normally brush straight up and down or side-to-side, switch it up and try using circular motions instead. This can help keep the toothpaste from getting into your beard and can also be better for removing plaque from difficult to reach areas in between your teeth.

Cover Up Your Beard

If changing up your technique isn’t cutting it, then you may want to consider covering up your beard while brushing. An easy way to do this is by using a shower cap or a small hand towel draped around the lower half of your face and neck area so that you don’t have to worry about any of the toothpaste getting in your facial hair. You can even use a clean sock if you need something disposable! Just make sure whatever item you use is clean and comfortable enough for you to wear while brushing.

Choose a Different Toothpaste

Depending on what type of toothpaste you use, it may be worth considering swapping it out with one that is designed specifically for people with beards or just thicker facial hair in general. These types of toothpastes are usually formulated with thicker consistency so they won’t run down into the beard as quickly as other brands of toothpaste might. Plus, they also usually contain ingredients like glycerin which helps moisturize and protect the skin underneath the beard from drying out due to frequent contact with water and soap products like toothpaste.

Brushing our teeth can be especially annoying when we have facial hair—but it doesn't have to be that way! With these tips for how to brush without sacrificing our precious beards, we can now confidently tackle our dental hygiene routine without worrying about pesky splashes of toothpaste ruining our carefully groomed look! So go ahead—give these tips a try today and see what works best for you!
